The fourth edition of the Luz del Desierto International Film Festival came to an end and, in their first online meeting, He had 8 feature films and 27 short films from different parts of the world.

After four intense days of pure cinema, the festival had the support of more than 10 users who enjoyed the productions for free and voted for the different productions that came from –in addition to Argentina- U.S, Uruguay, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Ireland, Peru and Colombia, among others.

In the National Feature Film Competition, the jury composed of Marco Berger, Sandra Iurcovich and Amparo Aguilar, They gave the Best National Film award for “Far from us” by Laura Bierbrauer and Verena Kuri.

At the same time, The documentary “Papelito” by Sebastián Giovenale was recognized with a Special Mention by the Jury.

The jury of the National short film competition was made up of Camilo Moreira Biurra, Vanina Suárez and Cristian Monetti.

The Best National Short Film award went to “Area chica, big hell ", by Mariano Biasin and Federico Marcello.

La Primera Mención Especial de Cortometraje Nacional fue para “El color del jacarandá” de Corina López Roach. La Segunda Mención Especial de Cortometraje Nacional fue para “Yo puedo explicártelo” de Hernán González.

The jury of the International Feature Films and Short Films competition was made up of Mariano Bouchot (Mexico), Marta Salvador Tato (Spain) and Jhonny Obando (Ecuador)

The winner of the award for Best International Feature Film was “Niebla de culpa” by Francisco Laresgoiti Servitje.

The award for Best International Short Film went to the English short film "The Beekeeper" by William Mcgregor. In turn, the jury awarded a Special Mention for the French short film "Two Options" by Gon Caride.

The festival's audience award went to the Argentine short film "Luz" by Mariana Larrosa.

During the days of the festival, a live conversation was held on Instagram with Alejandra Guzzo from DOCA (Argentine documentary makers) on the digital way in documentaries. There were also special screenings of the Guayaquil International Film Festival of Ecuador, of the International Film Festival of America in Mexico, a special focus of MUA (Audiovisual Women) and a section of quarantined short films.
