Carried out by the Lumbra Theater Company of Porto Alegre and the Pájaro Negro Company from Mendoza, The production can be seen for free on YouTube for two weeks after its premiere that will take place from 8 on the channel "Clube da Sombra".

It is worth noting that this proposal was designed to be carried out in the theater, but later it was adapted to the audiovisual format as a result of the pandemic.

Regarding its plot, a young adventurer determined to face danger will search for a lost city in the Amazon jungle. His son Jacinto and the native guide Raoní, They are part of the team that will travel the rivers and deep trails of Brazil in search of a civilization lost in the green hell.

Indigenous people know the challenges, but one of the main fears is the Boitatá.

The images were created and produced in an analog way. The unusual experience allowed for an expansive investigation of contemporary shadow theater, using natural lights (sol, fire) and artificial devices such as various types of lamps; shadows were cast on nature (stones, Water, trees, plant leaves) and also on the bodies themselves, thus expanding the expressive references.

The narrated story has a historical and ancestral background. On the one hand, is inspired by the true story of Colonel Fawcett, an English anthropologist who ventured into the Amazon rainforest believing that there was an ancient city there, but he got lost with his son and was never heard from again.

On the other hand, history is linked to the Boitatá, a mythical being from the peoples of the Amazon that meanders through the jungle and feeds on the light of the eyes that look at it from the front, then it rises to the sky lighting up the night. This snake, is giver of life and death, As well as nourishing all the vegetation with its channel, it can also flood it when it is threatened.
