Monday 15 July the Planetarium of the City of Buenos Aires will be the scene of an exclusive exhibition of 13 works by Eduardo Pla, a prominent Argentine artist known for his ability to merge art and technology.

This exhibition celebrates his collaboration with Studio Alchimia, an Italian company at the forefront of design and presents pieces from the Alchimia I collections (1989) and Alchemy II (1992).

The first collection, presented in Milan, includes furniture, rugs, fabrics and objects that challenge established conventions, taking creativity and experimentation to new limits. The works reflect the influence and inspiration of the initial research, while developing new ideas and concepts, showing the natural evolution of the work of Pla and Studio Alchimia. The 3D modeling photographs that accompany these pieces are the result of a meticulous creative process. Every detail and texture has been carefully cared for to convey the essence and innovation of the collection., offering a unique and provocative perspective on Alchimia's work.

During the inauguration, Three short films will be presented in the planetarium dome. “Glup Glup and Wonderland” is a surreal audiovisual experience of 16 minutes, Inspired by Lewis Carroll's classic. Uses real-time interactive technology and artificial intelligence algorithms to create an immersive and magical environment. “Expanded passages”, A piece of 5:02 minutes, combines digitally generated images and a contemplative soundtrack to explore the originary rhythms of the universe, generating total immersion and reflection on the immensity of the cosmos. Finally, “Utopia of an extraordinary pixel” is an audiovisual work by 5:25 minutes that immerses the public in the geometric world of a pixel, adopting the third dimension and creating multiple simultaneous points of view, taking advantage of the entire field of vision of the half sphere of the dome.
