“Piazzolla experience at the Konex, Centennial edition ”is the name of the musical meeting that celebrates the music of the great Argentine composer with six great proposals, a 100 years after his birth.

The proposal will take place on days 27, 28 Y 29 August at 20 and it will be transmitted completely free of charge.

This year there will be performances that will cover different pieces of Piazzolla: the Sexteto Mayor will be presented together with Guillermo Fernández; Escalandrum will perform versions of his latest album, “100”; Juan Pablo Navarro will be part with his septet; the Quinteto Grande will address an unusual repertoire of Piazzollean; Ramiro Flores + 1444 will bring his jazzy side, while the singers Julieta Laso, Lula Bertoldi and María de los Ángeles “La Bruja” Salguero will perform some of the artist's most beautiful songs.

The announcer and presenter Lalo Mir will be in charge of conducting the meeting and will tell, in each day, with a special guest: Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla, artistic curator of the festival, Grandson of Astor and drummer of Escalandrum, Elena Roger and Daniel Rosenfeld, director of the film “Piazzolla, Shark years ".

The pianist and composer Nicolás Guerschberg is the festival's musical director and the audiovisual direction and production are in charge of Rodrigo Chan Cécere.

The centennial edition of the Piazzolla Experience at Konex is possible thanks to the support of the Patronage of the City of Buenos Aires, and is carried out within the framework of the initiative “Piazzolla 100”, that the Astor Piazzolla Foundation launched in 2021 in order to promote and enhance the tributes to the great composer and bandoneon player.
