The renowned announcer and radio host Cacho Fontana (whose real name was Norberto Palese) passed away this Tuesday at 90 years, after being hospitalized for pneumonia.

Symbol of the radio and possessor of a characteristic voice, Fontana had been hospitalized days ago for this same situation.

His relationship with the radio began at a very young age., more precisely from his 17 years and was part of great events in national radio history.

He also had a successful foray into television leading the cycle "Fontana Show", which was on the air for 16 seasons.

During his career, was worthy of 14 Martín Fierro awards and was also awarded the Platinum Konex Award granted by the Konex Foundation and the Spanish Ondas Award.
