The musician's death was reported by his relatives through a message on their social networks.. In one of his last appearances, occurred in July of this year, The singer had referred to his constant fight against Lewy body dementia and multiple system atrophy.
In that context and also through his Instagram account, Russel regretted not being able to “perform at the level I want and at the level you deserve.”. He had also added that “there are no words to express my gratitude for the many years of memories, love and support. Thank you for letting me live my dreams. “They have made my life wonderful”.
Great White was part of the golden era of hard rock in the '80s and '90s., with successful albums like “Once bitten” or “Twice shy”, at the beginning of his career or “Hooked”, at the beginning of the '90s.
