Celebrations for Flag Day at Usina del Arte
In the framework of Flag Day, Usina del Arte has prepared a series of free cultural activities to enjoy with the family throughout the day.
The appointment will be this Monday 20 June from the 11 and even 20 hours in the traditional Buenos Aires venue located in the neighborhood of La Boca, where you can enjoy a wide range of gastronomy, as well as talks, workshops, musical shows and folk dances.
Throughout the afternoon there will be art workshops for boys and girls with the possibility of creating waving flags plus a patriotic karaoke for the whole family, with folk and popular songs.
At noon "Our Roots" will be presented, a musical show for the little ones about the Argentine tradition and cultural diversity. At 15 will be desert and water, electronic tradition.
They will offer an electronic music show of their own production with ancestral Andean instruments., while the dancers of Casa Pactum transform indigenous dances with elements of popping, break dance and contemporary dance.
At 15 hours you can see the folklore show of La Bicicleta, music to walk. A show to have fun dancing and singing with Latin American and Argentine rhythms such as chacareras, gatos, zambas and chamames.
Within the gastronomic proposals, to 17 in Degusta Usina. Sommelier in slippers will conduct a tasting and wine tasting. At 16 Juliana López May and Teodelina Quesada will give a class to learn how to cook empanadas from Mendoza accompanied by rogel patrioto with meringue.
Later it will be the turn of A trip in time (to 16.30), where literature will make boys and girls travel through some stories to know about the creation of the flag. At 16.30 folk dances will be performed, contemporary, drum percussion, malambo, boleadoras, acrobatics and tango with Argendance Company.
Finally, from 18, Sol Mihanovich will present a concert with songs from “En Viaje”, his fourth album, plus others from previous albums. The day will close at 19, Martin Fierro Opera, rock version. With an adaptation of the work by José Hernández in the format of a conceptual rock work, where the story of Martin Fierro is sung with the same words written by the author.
