Parque Chas International Poetry Festival in tribute to Luis Luchi

With a great call and the participation of more than 120 poets of 35 countries like Argentina, Nicaragua, Spain, Japan, China and India, among others, The First International Poetry Festival is held in virtual mode (FIP) in homage to the poet Luis Luchi (1921-2020).

Among the figures that participate is the writer and current director of the National Library, Juan Sasturain, as well as the poets Jorge Boccanera and Daisy Zamora (Nicaragua), among others.

From Thursday until Friday you can follow the Festival on the YouTube channel “FIP – Chas Park”, organized in tribute to the first centenary of the birth of Luchi, who was a neighbor of the Parque Chas neighborhood (Buenos Aires) until his exile in Barcelona.

The festival is an initiative of the poet Daniel Quintero -a neighbor of Parque Chas-, and in the organization of the event the poets Laura Valente participate, Eva Gonzalez, Victor Cabrera and Andrea López, the collaboration of Lilian Garrido and the plastic artist Pedro Gaeta.

This meeting will be made up of more than 30 videos, that will be available later.

Luis Yanischevsky (Luchi), He was the son of Jewish Ukrainian immigrants, a man in love and united for life to poetry, well recognized over the years 60 Y 70. “He formed the group Gente de Buenos Aires with the poet Roberto Jorge Santoro, actor Héctor Alterio, the musician Eduardo Rovira and the plastic artist Pedro Gaeta. The objective was to bring culture closer to the people. Besides being a poet, is remembered as a fighter, committed and supportive and for being a benchmark for all Argentine exiles”, indicate.
