Party on Avenida Corrientes for the return of the Teatro Alvear

This Sunday 16 July will see the expected return of the Teatro Alvear and for this reason, the Theater Complex of Buenos Aires (CTBA) will carry out a special celebration in the middle of Corrientes Avenue to enjoy with the family.

The appointment will be from the 13 hours and the meeting will serve as a prelude to the first presentation of the theater, which will be the renowned piece "Edmond", which will take place on tuesday 18 starting at 20 hours.

Regarding the festivities that are expected for Sunday, there will be an outdoor stage where fragments of some of the proposals that the Complex has in its other rooms will be presented, as "Noses", (the show by Hugo Midón and Carlos Gianni that is being presented at the Teatro San Martín) and the artists who have passed through Hall Abierto in recent years will also perform. Likewise, You can see scenes from some of the main works that are presented in the theaters on Corrientes Street, such as "Cantando sobre la mesa", "Zenón's farm" and "Heathers".

There will also be the presence of the Puppeteer Group and the Contemporary Dance Workshop of the Teatro San Martín.

The public will also be able to enjoy a parade with the most amazing costume pieces from the Treasure collection of the Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires, a representative sample of its history.

“Edmond”

Finally the curtain will be drawn for the first time on Tuesday, to receive "Edmond", piece by the French Alexis Michalik, which was translated and adapted by Fernanda Cava and Gabriela Ricardes.

This show has a cast headed by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, Felipe Colombo and Vanesa González. They are joined by Nacho Pérez Cortés, Yanina Gruden, Eugenia Alonso, Gaby ferrero, Luis Longhi, Abián Vainstein, Carlos Da Silva, Matias Milanese and Federico Lehmann.

Michalik himself will be in Buenos Aires premiering this work that brought together more than 800 thousand spectators throughout Europe and tells the story of Edmond Rostand, the creator of the most famous French theater character: Cyrano de Bergerac.

The play revolves around Cyrano's first performance and all the difficulties Edmond had to go through in 1897.

Once released, This show can be seen from Wednesday to Sunday at 19, with tickets at the box office of the venue or through the official website of the Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires.
