The cycle of Contemporary Portuguese Cinema ends at the York

With the projection of three films, York will bid farewell to the Portuguese Contemporary Film cycle, With free entry.

Started in May, this meeting proposed to exhibit those productions that were part of the most outstanding film festivals around the world.

In that context, the room located on Juan Bautista Alberdi 895 de Olivos will close this proposal with “Suzanne Daveau”, by Luisa Homem; “Visões do Império”, by Joana Pontes and “No Taxi do Jack”, by Susana Nobre.

The first of these titles can be seen on Wednesday 8 June from 20. It is a realization of 2019 reflecting Daveau's passion for documentaries, a fact that took her to travel to different countries.

A day later it will be the turn of the film by Joana Pontes, released in 2020 at DocLisboa. The tape runs through the collective memory, putting in focus the organizations that study historical documents.

Finally “No Taxi do Jack” will close the meeting on Friday 10, also the 20. This is the third production of Nobre, centering on a man 63 years he will remember his days as a taxi driver.
