Rosario musician Fito Páez won the award for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album within the framework of the edition 63 from the Grammy Awards.

The distinction corresponds to "The conquest of space", the most recent record work by the artist that gave Páez his first North American gramophone, a new milestone in his long career.

"I am totally in shock!, very excited! Gustavo Cerati had a beautiful phrase that said that he felt that the universe was conspiring in his favor "explained the musician and added: "This may be such a time, of absolute fullness as far as I'm concerned, and I am infinitely grateful to my friends, to my family, to my work team and to all the people who are there all day with me, supporting me ".

Páez explained that he shares this brand new distinction "with the nominated colleagues. A big hug to all, I feel very immense and full of love ".

One year after its launch (the day of his birthday, the 13 March 2020), this acclaimed work –24th studio album of the prolific solo career of the Rosario artist–, continues to gain international recognition.

It is worth remembering that in November "The conquest of space" had also been nominated for the Latin Grammy as Album of the Year, Resulting winner of the categories Best Pop / Rock Album and Best Pop / Rock Song (for "The Song of the Beasts").

In this way, Fito now has a Grammy Award and eight Latin Grammys, among other important distinctions throughout the entire American continent.

The iconic artist is currently in the middle of a series of four sold-out concerts at the iconic Teatro Coliseo in the City of Buenos Aires, in what are their first post-pandemic shows with an audience present in the room: his intimate solo set entitled "A man with a piano".
