Fito Páez presented the third single from “The conquest of space”
"Maelström" has been the song chosen by Fito Páez to be the third single from "The conquest of space", Rosarino's most recent record work.
The album, which was released on 13 of March, could not be performed live yet for public knowledge, beyond a series of concerts that were made via streaming.
After "Resuscitate" and "The song of the beasts", "Maelström" became the chosen one to continue exploring the album. It is a melody that refers to the great Elton John and, according to Páez himself "is linked to a man with relationship problems. The Maelström figure comes from a story by Edgard Allan Poe, ´A descent to Maelström´ related to a storm that occurs in the fjords of Norway ”.
"The metaphor has to do with the fact that we all enter the Maelström with a life full of quilombos and some of us are lucky to leave. Hopefully curiosity about the word lead to the discovery of a writer like Poe ”, ended.
On the other hand, the artist is writing his biography and has also just finished the script for a new movie.
