"The wild years" is the name of the first part of what will be a musical trilogy by Fito Páez. It is already available through digital platforms, in addition to being accompanied by the video clip of the song "The best of our lives".

Regarding the work, includes new unreleased songs, recorded with top-notch musicians at Burbank's Igloo Music Studios, in California and at the EastWest Studios in Hollywood. Other songs were also registered in our country, more precisely in El Mostro de la Laguna, studio located in the city of Lobos.

Produced by Páez himself with Diego Olivero and Gustavo Borner, the second part of this work will be revealed in mid-February 2022. The plaque will be entirely instrumental and will feature the presence of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

Finally, the third part will have only the musician accompanied by his piano, in a more intimate format and with totally new songs.

Páez explains that “Los años Salvajes” is an album that “I composed almost entirely during the pandemic. In that strange and so delusional period of the life of everyone around the world. That is, who has the pulse and the breath of those moments ".

About its content, The musician pointed out that he has rescued "some old pieces like" Beer Blues "-a song that we ended up composing with Elvis Costello-. He wrote and recorded his part in Vancouver. Then we listen to the song together through a Zoom, with me in Los Angeles and he in Canada ".

The plot of this song is based on “the story of two friends who meet in a bar in London and then travel to Rosario. They sit down for drinks and write about their personal stories and their common points of view. ".

“I also found “Shut up”, from a not too distant past. The album was very good for the energy and the text of that song to this vintage album ", he added.

Made up of ten songs, the album's title “makes no nostalgic allusion to wild years past. More than anything, focuses on the present ", manifests Páez, who explains that “there is a song dedicated to Fabi Cantilo, that talks about how we find ourselves in life: “Close Encounters”. Another powerful one is "Lili and Drake" which is a love story of people who are in search of their identity.. "The music of the dreams of your youth" I composed two weeks before starting the recording in Los Angeles and I think it is one of the strawberries of "The Wild Years".
