FOLA presents its samples "Color Work" and "Portraits of the XXI Century"
Latin American Fototeca (BLOOD) announced the opening of the "Portraits of the XXI Century" and "Color Work", its most recent exhibitions that can be enjoyed in person.
They bring together creations by Romina Ressia and Vivian Maier, respectively, and they mean projects with their well-defined personality, where the emphasis is placed on color and composition of your images.
Regarding "Color Work", brings together a series of productions belonging to the Vivian Maier archive of the Moloof Collection (de John Maloof) and Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York.
Maloof owns most of the artist's work (some 100 thousand negatives you bought at auction). This exhibition will remain open until 12 of September.
Meanwhile, "Portraits of the XXI Century" (open until the first of August) gathers a series of visual rhetorical figures, that embodies temporary uprooting in a contraposition of paradigms and decontextualized objects. In this framework and as detailed in the curatorial text, the artist uses this resource as a tool to enable the formulation of questions, emphasizing the symbolic status of each element invoked in their productions.
As detailed by Gastón Deleau, director of the venue located on the first floor of Godoy Cruz 2626, of the Arcos District in Palermo, the public will be able to appreciate both samples with all the corresponding security measures.
In that context, the requirement to enjoy these exhibitions is necessary to reserve an appointment by Click here! Or register at the place the same day of the visit, arriving earlier.
