First, Enrique Avogadro, Buenos Aires Minister of Culture explained that the venue will commit itself "with a program full of talent and diversity, fully understanding why there is a public theater, who is proud to have very strong roots, an illustrious past, but that is projected fearlessly and voraciously into the future”.

Avogadro, meanwhile, confirmed that next year the Presidente Alvear Theater will reopen its doors, enclosure that has been closed since 2014.

Before announcing the schedule 2023, the general and artistic director of the Complex, Gabriela Ricardes, highlighted that "Buenos Aires is a lively city with an impressive theatrical ecosystem among audiences, private, cultural centers and open-air stages”, Therefore, "the challenge of designing a program is not reduced to listing works, It's not even a curatorial concept: Putting on shows on a schedule is what we call the Más Acción Program, What are we going to work on?.

further, the director underlined the three axes of the programming: "in principle, an axis in the management, that is to say, What does public theater have to do that others do not?. The second is how we can contribute to the development of artists, companies and collectives, not only of the emerging ones but also of those who already have a path and often need a space, an accompaniment: it takes a push not only to start but also to continue. And finally, an axis from the viewer's point of view: What does programming a network of six spaces with such diverse audiences mean today?, so sensational, like those of the city of Buenos Aires”.

"As I said, like we all said, We come to contribute to the long and rich history that precedes us, to project ourselves into the future, to understand that we are in an emblematic space of Argentina, not only from the City of Buenos Aires”, pointed out Gabriela Ricardes. "What we're trying to do is, as Gustav Mahler said, "do not venerate the ashes, but preserve the fire".
