The jury of the International Film Festival of the Heights was confirmed

The Las Alturas International Film Festival confirmed to the personalities that will be part of the jury of its sixth edition that, for reasons of public knowledge, it will be done online.

The appointment will start on 11 September and will run until 20 of that month, providing the possibility that users from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela can enjoy the best Andean cinema for the first time from their homes.

How it happens in each edition, the Festival will feature the three usual official competitions. They are International Fiction Feature Film Competition, International Documentary Feature Film Competition and NOA Regional Short Film Competition.

In that context, the renowned Venezuelan director Miguel Ferrari will preside over the fiction jury, while Juan Bautista Stagnaro (director, scriptwriter and Vice President of Argentine Cinematographic Directors) and Julia Solomonoff (Argentine screenwriter and film director) will complete the team that you will choose, not only the best fiction feature film, but also the Best Director, Best screenplay, Best Direction of Photography, Best performance, and Special Mention.

Meanwhile, the Documentary Competition will have the Argentine film director Fernando Spiner as president of the jury. He will be accompanied by the Chilean director Álvaro de la Barra and the Peruvian audiovisual director Judith Vélez. A team with extensive experience in the world of cinema that will assess the films in competition, will choose the best documentary and will also give a Special Mention.

Regarding the NOA Shorts Competition, the president of the jury will be Javier “El Niño” Rodríguez, illustrator, entertainer and director. further, the talented audiovisual producer Aldana Loiseau, and the director Juan Pablo Di Bitonto will make up the jury that will choose the best short film in northwestern Argentina.

It should be noted that the feature films in each category will compete for an Andes Statuette and 200.000 Argentine pesos (or its equivalent in dollars) and the best short film in the region will get, in addition to the Figurine 90.000 Argentine pesos.
