With an act held from the Parque Tecnópolis, the vehicles called bibliomobiles were presented, pertenecientes a la iniciativa “Argentina Lee”.

It was the first formal delivery of the CONABIP films, mobile libraries equipped as cultural centers that begin to tour localities, towns and places of Argentina.

María del Carmen Bianchi participated in the event, The President of the CONABIP; Ezequiel Grimson, Undersecretary of Cultural Policies; Ximena Talent, Provincial Director of Coordination of Cultural Policies, and Jimena Pautasso, Director of cultural programming and regional integration.

It was one of the management proposals 2020 promoted by CONABIP together with the Minister of Culture of the Nation, Tristan Bauer, with the strategic objective to advance with the recovery of a policy to promote reading and access to knowledge, starting with the enhancement of the fleet of 9 mobile library that was in a total state of disrepair and abandonment.

In its 150 anniversary, CONABIP returns to circulate libraries that begin to tour localities, towns, places of Argentina, with the aim of strengthening and diversifying the services that popular libraries provide in their communities, promote new ways of reading and social skills, incorporating bibliographic material, supports and equipment and developing various cultural proposals to promote the exercise of the right to reading and the gender and diversity approach.

Literature, storyteller, theater activities, music, audiovisual projections, games and recreation, are some of the activities carried out by bibliomobiles, this time in the open air and following the health protocols for the prevention of Covid-19.

With the motto "Argentina Lee", the first ones were presented 4 valued vehicles, who go out to visit different areas of the Province of Buenos Aires. These first tours, always subject to the modifications that the pandemic situation demands, They carry specific protocols and recommendations for the prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Nation.

During the 2021 the incorporation of recovered vehicles will continue, a new technological endowment and the putting into circulation with tours of the different regions of the country, in coordination with popular libraries and with the support of provincial governments and municipalities.
