The winners of the VIVALECTURA Award were revealed 2020
In order to create a strong link with the art of reading, The winning projects of the VIVALECTURA Award were announced 2020. Is about 15 proposals that come from different spaces, like schools, popular libraries, a hospital and an NGO among others.
The proposal had a jury headed by the renowned cartoonist and illustrator Ricardo Liniers Siri; Natalia Porta López, responsible for the National Reading Plan of the Ministry of Education of the Nation; Andrea Talamoni, responsible for IberLectura, Iberoamerican Program for the Promotion of Reading of the Organization of Iberoamerican States (OEI); Graciela Valle, editorial director of Ediciones Santillana Argentina and Nilda Palacios, project coordinator of the Santillana Foundation.
Since 2007, the contest aims to stimulate and recognize the most outstanding experiences in the promotion of reading at the national level. The VIVALECTURA Award was created by the Ministry of Education of the Nation through the National Reading Plan and has the organization and collaboration of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the sponsorship of the Santillana Foundation.
This year the participation of a guest country was incorporated for the first time, Uruguay. For this, we had the collaboration of some organizations and institutions of that country, such as the National Reading Plan (Ministry of Education and Culture), the Council of Secondary Education and the headquarters of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and Editions Santillana, also from uruguay.
There was also the collaboration of Educar (Ministry of Education of the Nation) ITAÚ Foundation, About Tiza y Tinkuy.
In the 13th edition of the VIVALECTURA Award, they presented themselves 586 inscriptions and 358 projects within which 47 inscriptions and 29 projects are from Uruguay.
The jury recognized 15 of these projects for their originality, developing, continuity and possibility of replication. The winners come from different places, like City of Buenos Aires, Gran Buenos Aires, Santa Cruz, Corrientes, Missions, The Pampa, Córdoba, Between Rivers and also Uruguay.
The awarded categories are School, Society, Reading comprehension in study contexts and digital environments. The first places in each category will receive a prize of 30 thousand pesos and second places, a prize of 10 thousand. Special mentions will receive personal libraries provided by Ediciones Santillana.
Due to the current context, the award event that takes place every year at the Book Fair will take place virtually. The date will be announced shortly on the social networks and web of the VIVALECTURA Award.
