This Friday (to 18) the exhibition "Welcome to the Shade" can be enjoyed at the Sarmiento Historical Museum ("Welcome to the shade"), by the artist Gachi Rosati.

With free entry, the sample will offer the possibility of appreciating idiomatic crosses, historical and artistic between distant territories.

As explained in the curatorial text by Georgina Gluzman, it is said that a sign with the phrase "Welcome to the shade" ("Welcome to the shade") welcomed foreign visitors to the house of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento in the Delta del Tigre.

Within this context, "Gachi Rosati establishes idiomatic crossovers, historical and artistic between distant territories. Their paints, developed from images linked to suffragism, enter into dialogue with part of the collection of the Sarmiento Historical Museum, in particular, with objects and documents associated with three female figures: the Argentines Juana Manso and Eugenia Belin, and the American Mary Mann ", point to the text.

“The crossing of Anglo-Saxon feminist archives with objects linked to women from centuries of local activity allows Rosati to open a dialogue between collections that had not been communicated. What agencies did Argentine women deploy at the end of the 19th century? Are there links between these disputes and our contemporaneity? What is the nature of the file, that hides and reveals?”, Georgina Gluzman wonders in the text that accompanies the exhibition ", finaliza Gluzman.

The sample is one of the 60 winning projects of the edition 2020 to Activate Heritage, a scholarship program of the Secretariat of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture of the Nation), which seeks to promote the development of artistic and research projects from the funds and collections of national museums and institutes.

Once opened, it can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, of 13 a 18 hours.
