On Sunday 23 April will be the day that the Kokoro Group arrives on the Gier Music stage, where he will take his new and fun proposal of performing the most representative songs within the manga scene, comics and anime.

This duo formed by MetaLWarrioR and Yu Yagami gradually gained a significant number of followers who will now wait for them at the venue located in Álvarez Thomas 1078.

Within this framework, La Vereda had the opportunity to interview Yu Yagami and talk about the concert, the projects that are coming and the place that the genre has earned among the young and not so young.

How did the Grupo Kokoro project come about??

A night of drinks with friends!, between whiskeys and drunkcovers this is how the Kokoro Group was born, That good vibe added to the madness of the people when they saw us together was what made us make the decision to start this project

What are the expectations regarding the show and what show will people encounter??

We have high expectations, Personally, I always dream of this date as last year's date.! I dream of the pogo and people singing next to us. It's what I hope and desire the most.

They are going to find a very familiar show, with the same humor and strength as always, where in each song everything is going to be left and where the most important thing will be that they take away a nice memory, May that day be great, both for us and for the public.

How did the possibility of traveling to Japan arise and what things did this experience bring to the project??

I sent an application to a program called Nodojiman de World in which amateur and professional singers from all over the world who sing in Japanese are invited to participate and have the opportunity to sing., no more no less, that on Japanese television. I sent the application without thinking what would happen, but I was lucky that it happened and I was able to fulfill the dream I had since I was a child., knowing that magical country and not only that, sing the song that marked my childhood (Pegasus Fantasy – Saint Seiya).

Taking into account the history and number of characters and series that exist... How is the group's repertoire put together and what song do they want to incorporate in the short term??

Generally many of us identify with shonen (stories where the characters are warriors who fight for a goal and give everything to fulfill their dreams and goals). Our repertoire is always characterized by strength and heart; We look for themes and animes that follow that path, but obviously we do not close ourselves and we try with other styles and with themes that are not even anime.

Do you have the possibility of carrying out a project of your own songs but also linked to the manga and comic movement??

It would be amazing, It is every anime song singer's dream! Clearly our objective is to transcend covers and be able to achieve our own songs, that express what this path we choose means to us.

Making a parallel with rock and metal… what song would unleash a pogo similar to Satisfaction or Run to the Hills, to name a few cases??

Butterfly, Pegasus Fantasy, Soy un cacahuate or Pokemon opening are very popular themes within the environment.

What are the projects for the year?

Start a tour of our own dates that is already more or less started with the first areas and provinces that we are going to visit with this move. We will also try to take what we do to other countries., those are mainly our goals for this year.
