Oscar winner Helen Mirren was confirmed as the villain in the sequel to the hit Shazam, character belonging to the DC Comics universe.

Information, published by the specialized site Deadline, mentioned that the actress has already signed a contract and will be part of the story that will be released on 2 June 2023.

Mirren will be Hespera in the sequel that will be called “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”, that will be starring Zachary Levi again.

Little is known about the history, except that Hespera is a character emerged from Greek mythology. This fact, added to the name of the movie, suggests that the plot will revolve around the origin of the power of the main character.
