From the hand of the film “you will die at 20 years”, of director Amjad Abu Alala, Sudan will present a production for the first time at the next edition of the Oscars.

The film tells the story of a young man whose death is prophesied shortly after birth, casting a shadow over his life.

This production was even developed in the framework of massive protests that took place in the African country, that ended with the overthrow of Omar al-Bashir, in 2019 and after three decades.

Little by little, the country is trying to reintegrate itself internationally and that includes the film industry, with this presentation based on a narration by novelist Hammour Ziyada, also Sudanese.
