The new Cosmos-UBA Cinema was officially inaugurated
During the afternoon of Monday and with the presence of several authorities belonging to the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and the Rojas Cultural Center, as well as actors like Luciano Cáceres, Guillermo Pfening and Lautaro Delgado, and the director Juan José Campanella, the reopening act of the Cosmos-UBA Cinema was carried out, which will also become part of the INCAA Spaces network.
Cinema, located on Corrientes Avenue 2046 It had an enhancement and was also equipped with new image and sound systems.
Likewise, during the act he was distinguished with the Rector Ricardo Rojas award, to José Martínez Suárez, President of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, for his extensive cinematographic career.
Juan Fernando Lima, Vice President of INCAA highlighted the importance of the venue that joins the "INCAA Spaces Program" and in turn emphasized "guaranteeing the variety and diversity of film production", in order to “work on the exhibition and distribution, to give more space to the national cinema and for each film to find its audience ".
The meeting also served to close the Argentine Film Week, initiative that consisted in the possibility of seeing national productions at the price of 35 pesos per ticket, between sunday 1 and wednesday 4 October.
After the act, the cinema was officially inaugurated with the screening of No One Looks at Us, by Julia Solomonoff.
While, during its first week of operation, two premieres will be screened: Afterimage, posthumous work by Andrej Wajda and The Other Shore, by Georgian George Ovashvili.
