Recently the Recoleta Cultural Center inaugurated the exhibition “Floating Anthology”, which brings together a total of 80 works by visual artist Carlos Bissolino.

Carlos Bissolino, a vital figure in the Argentine art scene since the 1970s. 70 until the present, has developed part of his work over the years 80 in Italy. Since his return to the country, directs one of the most active and influential chairs at the National University of the Arts. The exhibition includes oil paintings, acrylics, mixed technique on fabric, ink on paper and other techniques, reflecting the artist's universe with dreamlike landscapes and intense technical exploration.

The curatorial team of the exhibition, composed by Agustín Fernández, Sol Ganim, Rodolfo Marquis, Ramiro Oller, Juan Reos and Gonzalo Silva, celebrated the vitality and radical experimentation of Bissolino's production, spanning at least four decades of uninterrupted work. The exhibition is organized asynchronously, allowing works from different periods to coexist in the same room and includes Bissolino's most recent production (2020-2021).

Room 7 exhibits large-format paintings with animated objects in mysterious atmospheres. In the living room 8 metaphysical landscapes with impossible perspectives and floating objects are shown. Room 9 presents a small stage space with the most ghostly works in the exhibition. “Floating Anthology” is a rediscovery and enhancement of what Bissolino's works can show today.

The exhibition will be open to the public from Tuesday to Friday 13.30 a 22 hours and saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11.15 a 22 hours, With free entry.
