The latest installation of Pavel Maksimov's “Reflective Nature” series is on display in the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park. This impressive natural park, located at 70 km from Córdoba, features limestone rock formations, Holm oak forests and unique karst formations, making it the perfect setting for Maksimov's provocative art.

The “Reflective Nature” series by Pavel Maksimov places highly polished metal spheres in natural landscapes to provoke reflection and dialogue on environmental issues. These spheres reflect their surroundings, symbolizing the delicate interaction between nature and human intervention. By placing these spheres in both pristine and affected natural areas, Maksimov challenges viewers to reflect on their ecological footprint and the urgent need to care for the environment.

Maksimov, born in 1976, is a renowned artist who divides his time between Cyprus and Dominica. He is known for his provocative works that explore the intersection between art and the environment.. Its main themes include reflection on the human impact on nature and industry.. Maksimov has received multiple international awards in landscape art and sculpture, among them the prestigious Neatechni and Jeune Vague. In addition to his artistic practice, He is an active speaker on art and environmental issues..

The exhibition takes place from 10 June to 8 August 2024 in the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park, which includes towns like Luque, Zuheros, Priego and Rute. From Córdoba, Visitors can reach the park through the N-432 highway. For more information, can visit https://www.turismodecordoba.org.
