Artistic intervention in the microcenter in homage to 'La Scaloneta’
Within the framework of the Microcentro Red Cultural project, the artist Alfredo Segatori carried out an intervention in homage to the Argentine National Team champion in Qatar.
This realization bears the name "Exabrupto de Color Campeones del Mundo" and is located on the stairs that begin on Lavalle street, practically at the entrance of the microcentro.
The mural was made in order to "revitalize the emblematic area that is a reference point, anchor and cultural attraction of the country”, as they explain from the area of Culture of the City.
The work has 400 square meters and extends over the ramp and stairway of the aforementioned artery, between the intersections of Avenida Leandro N. German and 25 of May, completing an agenda of cultural proposals that the City develops within the framework of the project.
About the realization, The Minister of Culture Enrique Avogadro said that the City continues "working with different proposals so that, both residents and those who visit the City of Buenos Aires, can enjoy the microcentro in a different way, living a unique experience in the streets and expanding, that way, access and cultural proximity”.
The official added: “We firmly believe in the transformative power of culture and art, that are always reinventing themselves to generate new meeting spaces and new ways of living the city. In this case, We celebrate and express the joy that the World Cup generated in Lavalle, bursting with color into the daily scene of the downtown.
Likewise, the creator of the work, Alfredo Segatori expressed that he was “very happy to have been called for this job.”, It is a pleasure for me to intervene in urban spaces in their entirety with the Exabrupto de Color series, like in Ciudad Onírica in the La Boca neighborhood, more than two whole blocks, or in this case complete road and staircase. Color Campeones del Mundo's outburst is a tribute to all Argentines and I hope you enjoy it.".
