The artist from La Plata Iván Haidar will perform on Saturdays 22 Y 29 January at the Teatro San Martín in Buenos Aires “I am your performance”, a five-hour set that includes nudity, within the framework of the fourth Biennial of Performance (BP21).

Tickets for this BP21 activity, which began 19 November and will run until 16 of April, must be requested by Click here!

“I am your performance” is an exercise of accumulation and permanence in which a body is offered as material to be intervened by eight people from different fields of living arts, visual and performative, eight ways and perspectives of using matter body, to outline it to give it meaning.

Around the five hours that the experience lasts, each facilitator will have a certain time to do a test with Haidar.

The axis is the body, its use, the decisions that are made, how they are put in tension with each activation and the possible translations to materialize an imaginary in an event.

It is about, the rest, of “a practice on the encounter, communication and ways of composing with one another through a set of perspectives and methodologies applied in real time on the same subject that is the performer”, the organizers explained.

The facilitators will be Ariel Farace, Anthony Villa, Camila Malenchini, Diego Velazquez, Gustavo Tarrío, Marina de Caro, Mayra Bonard and Nayla Pose.

Haidar uses her house as a laboratory, a production space where he also exhibits. His research on the relationship between the body and technology translates his work into various hybrid formats, between performance and video-art. From the 2020 coordinates the Vil Theater Cultural Center, together with Constanza Copello and from the 2015 is part of the Re-Al Company led by Joao Fiadeiro, from Lisbon, Portugal.

His work “monster place” won the Biennial of Young Art and won the prize to participate in the Director's LAB at the Lincoln Center Theater in New York. United States.20. (TELAM)
