Within the framework of the cycle of online concerts that the Kirchner Cultural Center has been doing (CCK), this Saturday 3 October will be presented - from 20- the pianists Iván Rutkauskas and Marcelo Ayub.

Both musicians, who previously registered the concert following all the corresponding health protocols, will offer the suite “Scaramouche” by Darius Milhaud, Camille Saint-Saëns' “Danza macabra”, the "Variations on a Paganini Theme", by Witold Lutoslawski and an arrangement of "Libertango", by Astor Piazzolla.

Iván Rutkauskas and Marcelo Ayub began to play together during the Ushuaia International Festival of the year 2013. A year later the duo made their debut in the main hall of the Teatro Colón for the cycle “Argentine Interpreters”, and since then it has been presented in different concert halls of the country.

Marcelo Ayub has a degree in Music (piano specialty) by the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Cuyo. He graduated as Musical Director of Opera from the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón and studied Orchestral Conducting at the UCA. Linked to the Teatro Colón, he was a pianist, assistant musical director and director of his Stable Choir, and he is currently a master coach of lyrical repertoire; He is also professor of operatic repertoire and director of the Choir at its Higher Institute of Art., and director of the concerts organized by the Fundación Teatro Colón. In 2018 directed the Argentine premiere of Powder her face, by Thomas Adès, for the Colon Chamber Opera. Introduces himself as a pianist, opera director, choral coach, repertorist and organist.

Iván Rutkauskas studied piano with Antonio de Raco and completed his musical studies in Italy, Austria and Holland. As a soloist or with orchestras he has performed in the main theaters of the country. He performed with the National Symphony, the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, the Stable of the Argentine Theater of La Plata and the Academic of the Colón Theater. He made concert tours for the Mozarteum Argentino cycles in the Argentine provinces. He also offered recitals in Florence, Roma, Lucca and Salzburg. Since 2010 He is an intern teacher at the Teatro Colón.
