From 1 of August, the Modern Museum will present a new exhibition by Javier Soria Vázquez (Cafayate, 1975), known for creating works to be performed by others.

Unlike traditional art, where authorship and originality were essential, Contemporary art has allowed a more collective and participatory practice, involving both other artists and the public. Soria Vázquez uses simple and moving methods that invite viewers to interact in various ways: draw, play a painting like a musical instrument, create ephemeral scores and contemplate.

At your next exhibition, the Special Projects Room of the Modern Museum will become a creative and quiet space. Visitors will be able to participate in actions accompanied by the sound of a cello or get involved in activities that reflect the passage of time. The art of Soria Vázquez is transformed into a narrative without a single protagonist, inviting contemplation and active participation in an environment where images are intertwined, sounds and movements adapted to specific situations and creative freedom.

This exhibition will have Marcela López Sastre (director of the Museum of Fine Arts of Salta), as guest curator and will remain open until December.
