Jorge Araujo, Renowned Argentine musician and former member of Divididos, offered a deep look into his creative process and the inspirations behind his latest album..

“Electro Carne y Hueso” will be the artist's third album, who already released “The Impostor”, song that has a video clip and is now available on all digital platforms.

In an exclusive interview with The sidewalk, Araujo shared details about the evolution of his music and the challenges he faced during the production of the album.

When comparing this new board with previous work, the musician highlighted the evolution of the compositions, influenced by collaboration with three new producers. “Something that would stand out is the mutation that the compositions had”, Araujo detailed.

The musician said that the producers used a large number of libraries in Abtone Live, to which they added different recorded instruments. “They achieved an album without having interaction between musicians, because the truth is that we never recorded together”, counted.

“They developed a production that for me, every time a song came to me finished, “It was surprising to hear something so far from what I imagined.”.

Addressing the inspiration behind the mix of sounds on “El Impostor” and its possible presence on the album as a whole, Araujo highlighted the importance of a different tuning on the guitar, which generated a characteristic open chord. This sound approach is maintained throughout the album, thanks to the production treatment carried out.

The artist revealed that the composition of “El Impostor” was unique in his process, with the music and lyrics emerging practically at the same time, which is unusual in your experience. The topic, that addresses the change of perspective towards urban and natural environments, It was selected as the first preview of the album due to its enveloping personality and its connection with the rest of the material..

“Creo que la personalidad que tiene la canción envuelve un poco todo el material que hay. I'm not saying it's a summary., but it seems to me that everything came out very naturally and quickly that way, beyond the sound treatment it has had”, expressed the author who added: “With a guitar alone and singing it, I represent the composition one hundred percent”.

What role do lyrics play in your overall album compositions??

The lyrics of the album are linked to personal situations. That wasn't something that I had done in such a natural way on previous albums either., but in this third album I really wanted to tell stories in the songs that have to do with my life or my environment.

What aspect of your music do you think stands out the most in this new album compared to your previous works??

The characteristic of this album that I would highlight is that it is based on the idea of a producer. One always has in mind making a record, how I made my two previous albums with César Silva - who is my friend and producer -. He was the person who told me “che, You have to release these songs”, but here an executive producer appears, a person who tells me “let's make an old-fashioned record.”. ¿Tenés ganas de sacar un disco? And if you feel like it, does 8 songs that I am going to tell you which producers are going to produce it”. That meant that there were very marked roles and luckily – I say that because it can go wrong., since it still had a high risk- will be realized in a very harmonious and creative way. The final product was very good. That's why I want to highlight what Lucas Vidal Dos Santos did in the production.

One of the biggest challenges during production was the suggestion of not having contact with music producers, which initially generated uncertainty in Araujo. But nevertheless, This decision allowed for a freer and more fluid creation process., culminating in a satisfactory final product.

“I didn't have any need to speak until the album was practically finished with them and that meant that it didn't wear out and that there were no corrections based on requests that were perhaps a little subjective,” said Araujo., who also highlighted that “it was an album that was made in a very free way and with very marked roles.”.

On the evolution of his musical style, Araujo highlights the growing need to compose and the importance of his music having a distinctive personality. With “The Impostor”, sought to immerse listeners in a complete musical journey, where each song occupies a significant place.

“Some things they have told me about the subject are that it was very personal to them.”; that is one of the best compliments, because if you are looking for something at this point, more than hitting a hit, “It is that your music or what you do artistically has a personality”, highlighted.

Regarding future projects, Araujo anticipated concerts to share his new material with the public. The official presentation of the album is scheduled for 21 May at Café Berlin, followed by tours throughout the country and neighboring countries.
