Josefina Robirosa exhibited his work at the Rubbers Gallery
Since Wednesday 26 of April, the artist Josefina Robirosa take their work to the Rubbers Gallery, which will showcase current paintings as well as works from early times.
Moments is the name of the exhibition that can be seen in the Alvear Avenue venue 1595, with the curatorship of Mercedes Casanegra, Monday through Friday 11 a 19 hours and also Saturdays of 11 a 13.30.
According to what was indicated by Casanegra, Robirosa “was very young when he began to exhibit at Galería Bonino, in 1956, and since then he never stopped painting. He was in his early twenties and a young critic from the newspaper El Mundo pointed out that one of the paintings by this new artist reminded him of Paul Klee in the tracing of horizontal lines whose color variants suggested other forms ".
This work will be present during the show, as well as other more current ones and with respect to that journalist, turned out to be a future painter. Nothing more and nothing less than Luis Felipe Noé.
"Moments is the title of this exhibition that brings together works from various specific periods of his career. Moment is a minimum space in which time is divided, it is a part of the life course of an artist in this case ", expressed the curator who added that “Robirosa turned successive moments of his life into significant periods full of densely artistic content. Sensitive and contemplative abstraction, object pop geometry, kineticism, visionary and lucid drawing and figuration, among others".
