After 30 year absence, Brazilian singer Joyce Moreno will return to Argentina to present her new album entitled "50" at the Usina del Arte.

The name of the album says it all, it simply reflects the years that this outstanding artist has been in her career. Those same songs, plus other great hits like “Feminina” and “A banda maluca”, will be played in the traditional venue of Agustín Caffarena 1, in a free show that will be held within the framework of the cycle "International Specials".

The recital will be on Saturday 3 November from the 21 and it will mark the end of a long wait that spanned 30 years. Moreno will arrive in the country accompanied by his band, made up of Tutty Moreno (drums), Rodolfo Stroeter (double bass) and Helio Alves (piano).

“50” is the result of re-recording - song by song- from his first album, launched in 1968 with music composed by her at 18 O 19 years and others carefully chosen from the time, made by friends like Marcos Valle, Ruy Guerra, Paulinho da Viola, Jards Macale, Caetano Veloso, Francis Hime, Toninho Horta and Ronaldo Bastos.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, the singer-songwriter, composer and instrumentalist Joyce Moreno has an extensive discography and close to 400 recordings of his music by great names in Brazilian music such as Elis Regina, Gal costa, Mary Bethania, Milton Nascimento, Ney Matogrosso, Edu Lobo, Chico Buarque, nana Caymmi, Monica Salmaso and Maria Rita, among others.

His trademark was from the beginning his feminine language in the first person: was the first Brazilian composer to express herself in this way in the history of the MPB, paving the way for many other creators who would come later.

His work also reaches international scale with annual world tours and recordings in different countries., without ever losing her identity as a Brazilian female. He has performed on the Blue Note circuit in Japan and at Jazz Festivals and tours in Europe., United States and Canada.

Tickets can be reserved through the site buenosaires.gob.ar/usinadelarte/entradas or they can be withdrawn the same day of the show up to two per person, from two hours before until the capacity of the room is exhausted.
