Under the cycle site specific interventions, organized by the Visual Arts Program of the Theater Complex of Buenos Aires (CTBA), the artist Marcela Sinclair made an intervention on the facade of the Teatro Sarmiento (Avenida Sarmiento 2715) since Friday 8 November and will be open until 31 of May.

The works of Marcela Sinclair surprised by their variables and dissimilar formats. Conceived mostly as specific sites, the close relationship of each work with space presents them as distorted maps that record something absurd or disturbing.

In this context, the diversion of meaning becomes manifest in the way the artist intervenes objects. A) Yes, a table can lose its support and exhibited as sculpture; a photograph or a piece of furniture can be cut or pierced to become sculptural objects and plastics devoid of utility and reference. And a big stack of books column can officiate in a solid and symmetrical high-rise architectural space. Sinclair away so useful objects that recur often highlighting their materiality and character.
