Corrientes Avenue will be an open-air cultural center

This Friday the City of Buenos Aires will carry out the proposal "Cultural Corrientes", a meeting that will transform one of the most emblematic Buenos Aires arteries into an ideal setting for music, gastronomy, theater, letters, humor, dance and visuals.

This cycle of impulse to the reactivation of the emblematic Corrientes street will extend during 30 nights, in order to ensure that residents and tourists can enjoy free theater cultural expressions, music, gastronomy, visual arts, letters, humor and dance.

In that context, every Friday, Saturdays and Sundays with a different activation every day, the cycle will promote the cultural and commercial reactivation of the area, promoting the shows on the bill and featuring more than 100 artists.

This Friday the inauguration of the cycle will take place from 19:30 with a musical show by actor Mike Amigorena, in front of the Metropolitan SURA (Corrientes 1343). Saturday 16 October at 22:30, during the Night of the Theaters, will be presented "Siglo de Oro Trans", the play based on "Don Gil de las calzas verde" written by Gonzalo Demaría and directed by Pablo Maritano that is currently being presented in the Martín Coronado room of the San Martín Theater.

The cast will go out to the pedestrian to present an extract of the piece, in front of the Theater Complex of the City of Buenos Aires (Corrientes 1530). Finally on Sunday at 18:30, in front of Paseo La Plaza (Corrientes 1660), Juan Barraza will be presented with a stand up show.

Mirta Busnelli will also be part of this cycle, Flavio mendoza, Georgina Barbarossa, Fer Dente, Ileana Calabró, Flavia Palmiero, Juan Guilera, Sofia Pachano, Benjamin Alfonso, Cecila Milone, Cata Spinetta, I do Mazzei, Andrea Ghidone, Martin Pugliese, Ivanna Rossi, Florence Otero, Vane Butera, Angie Sammartino, Andres Ini, Elis garcia, Ignacio Sánchez Mestre, Diego Rinaldi, Manuela Saiz and the cast of "Bendito tu eres", "I love you to the moon", "Teresita" and "The worst of the girls".

All activities will be outdoors for free, with an extensive program that can be consulted at Vivamoscultura.buenosaires.gob.ar.
