The CAIC awarded the producer of “sleepwalkers”
Since its creation in 1987, the Argentine Chamber of the Cinematographic Industry (CAIC) carried out the award for the Producer of the Year.
In this context, the first chosen turned out to be Fine Task, responsible for the making of the film selected to compete for a place in the Oscars, “sleepwalkers”, Paula Hernandez.
As expressed in a statement, The purpose of this distinction is to “highlight the annual national production, especially valuing those companies that mark a path of growth through artistic quality, the commercial scope and variety of your projects, making own the challenge of consolidating the audiovisual industry and taking national production to new levels ".
It is worth remembering that the production company Tarea Fina was also responsible for the multi-award-winning debut feature "Las Buenas Intenciones", de Ana Blaya.
Blaya and Hernández's films won ten Sur awards, in addition to Official Selections to various international festivals such as San Sebastián, Toronto, Biarritz and Mar del Plata, among others.
Fine Task, that celebrates ten years of outstanding experience in the industry, carried out in 2020 the filming of Pablo Giorgelli's next project, winner of the Golden Camera at the Cannes Film Festival.
