The Camerata Porteña will honor Piazzolla with an online concert
Within the framework of the project “Piazzolla 100 years-The Angel lives ", the Camerata Porteña, Directed by Marcelo Rodríguez Scilla, will carry out a tribute concert to the famous Argentine artist.
With 34 years of experience in contemporary tango, The group will be presented this Sunday with the Mexican Chamber Orchestra of Zapopan, Directed by Allen Vladimir Gómez. This show also, It will serve as a prelude to the tour that the Camerata will give in the Aztec country and in other places abroad next year..
Recorded by both orchestras, the concert includes four pieces with arrangements by Scilla: "Oblivion" and "Ode for a hippie" (Piazzolla), "The White Bicycle (Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer) and "Sueño Tango" (Rodríguez Scilla and Alejandro Borgo).
further, includes an interview with the director and founder of the Camerata (created in 1986) by Gerardo Ascencio Rubio and Allen Vladimir Gómez, Director of Culture of Zapopan and director of the Zapopan Chamber Orchestra, respectively, on the Piazzolliana work and the repercussion of these creations on the music of the 20th century.
