From this Wednesday and 21 of June, the City of Buenos Aires and Salta will honor Martín Miguel de Güemes upon completion 200 years of his death and through Let's live culture.

Through the City's platform you can see a special program allusive to the date, supporting the virtual diffusion of this celebration.

“Vivamos Cultura is a platform that is here to stay, allows us to share and make known to the various artists and makers, not only from the City but also from our provinces and cities around the world ", detailed the Buenos Aires Minister of Culture Enrique Avogadro, who indicated that "on this occasion we accompany the government of the province of Salta as we have been doing with various regions of our country, with the live transmission of an event declared of cultural interest and programming proposed by our portal according to the festival ".

Meanwhile, Sabrina Sansone - Secretary of Culture of Salta- expressed that it is "a pride to be summoned by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires to disseminate our management by virtue of the bicentennial of the death of Güemes".

Sansone remarked that talking about Güemes means "talking about feats, of challenges, ideals, to fulfill dreams and to fight for the freedom and independence of our nation. Thinking of Güemes is thinking of Salta, because Güemes is Salta, and as Salta we have the duty to become, each one from our place and going through this situation as difficult as the pandemic, in one of the Infernales de Güemes ".

For the official, “Our gaucho hero is the perfect synthesis of Salteña identity. Güemes and the gaucho, speaks of an ideal of a fairer and more transversal society. My commitment is that the living memory of our gaucho is more present than ever from here to posterity ".

As for programming, Under the name of “Embraced by the Poncho”, two streaming transmissions of the Salta celebrations will be carried out through Vivamos Cultura, the 16 June at 22 hours and the 21 June at 12. On the first date, artists such as AHYRE will participate, Los Nocheros, Jorge Rojas, Mariana Baraj, Feli Colina, Song of the Soul, Malva Polo and Lautaro D ́Amico. While on the second day the Salta Symphony Orchestra will be present, the Folkloric Ballet of Salta, the Ballet of the province of Salta, the Children and Youth Symphony Orchestra of Salta and the Official Ballet School, and the singers Javier Yañez and Agustina Vidal.

Among the contents that will be available in Vivamos Cultura you will be able to access: visits to the Salta Artists Workshops residing in the City of Buenos Aires (Florence White, Josefina Carón and Evangelina Tita Aybar) under the curatorship of Guadalupe Creche; shows of the Folkloric Ballet of Salta; the presentation of the Salta Symphony Orchestra and Mini Documentaries on the Pachamama. And the Salta Audiovisual Tour will continue, with the best cinematographic productions of Salta filmmakers.
