The Book Foundation, entity that is in charge of carrying out the traditional International Book Fair, announced the election of its new CEO, after an intense selection process that began in June.

The new owner is Ezequiel Martínez, cultural manager, journalist and editor who was previously Director General of Culture of the Mariano Moreno National Library (since 2016 a 2020).

With a vast experience in the media, He was Assistant Secretary of Editorial Section for Culture and Magazine Ñ since October 2003 to March 2016. Previously, also in the Clarín group, He served as Assistant Secretary of the Editorial Board of VIVA Magazine and Head of the Shows Section, Art & Styles, among other.

Martínez was also a collaborator of La Nación, Profile, Infobae, Quid, Sunday magazine and Friday and Books supplement of El Periódico de Catalunya (Spain), The Malpensante (Colombia), Black Label (Peru), The Mercury (Chile) And trade (Ecuador), among other.

He has excelled in journalistic production in different formats, tanto online, radio and television. He has published journalistic research books and has taught at TEA, University of Belgrano and University of Buenos Aires. He has been invited as a lecturer at Book Fairs such as those in Frankfurt, Guadalajara, Lima, Oaxaca and the Paris Book Fair. Also since 2010 presides over the Tomás Eloy Martínez Foundation.
