The El Libro Foundation appointed its new authorities
The entity, organizer of the International Book Fair and other fairs and promotional and cultural activities in the sector, renewed its Board of Directors.
In that context, the editor Ariel Granica is the new president and will succeed María Teresa Carbano, who finished his term.
Border, who works in the Argentine Chamber of Publications will be accompanied by Santo Pirillo (Argentine Federation of the Graphic and Related Industry), vice; Alejandro Vaccaro (Argentine Society of Writers), secretary; Maria Eugenia Zicavo (Argentine Federation of Bookstores and Stationers), prosecretaria; A hard tackle from Joaquín Gil to Paricio (Books and Magazines Sector of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce), treasurer; Ecequiel Leder Kremer (Argentina Book Chamber), prostorer.
This occurs between the end of a year crossed by the biggest crisis in the sector, due to the pandemic, and the beginning of the current, in which the entity and the book industry resume their march, decisively but also with uncertainties, like other branches the cultural industries.
Ariel Granica is editor and manager of the stamp that bears his surname, founded by his father Juan Granica now fifty years ago. The publishing house Granica participated in the International Book Fair in its first edition of 1975. In 1976 the stamp moved to Spain. In 1982 Ariel received a degree in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and was in charge of the firm in Spain. Came back in 1995, to take ownership in Argentina, where he also founded Interbook, company dedicated to book logistics.

This must be done at a time when the outlook shows high levels of uncertainty and when we do know that the challenges will have dimensions never seen before ".
