Piazzolla's music will be heard this month at the Colón

With a grid of 13 concerts planned between 5 and the 20 March at the Teatro Colón, Astor Piazzolla's music will have an unprecedented continuity and presence in the greatest Argentine coliseum.

The Orquesta Stable del Colón will participate in the celebration generated within the framework of “Piazzolla 100”., Pedro Ignacio Calderon, César Angeleri and Juan José Mosalini; Paula Maffia and Amelita Baltar; Camerata Bariloche; Horacio Lavandera; Nestor Marconi; Escalandrum; Rodolfo Mederos; and Chango Spasiuk, between more.

On Sunday 7 to 17 “Piazzolla before Piazzolla” will be addressed by the Emilio Balcarce Tango School Orchestra conducted by Víctor Lavallén, with contributions from Carlos Rossi, Trio Lavallén-Estigarribia-Cabarcos and the special participation of Susana Rinaldi.

On Tuesday 9 to 20 there will be a “Triumphal” evening by the Astor Piazzolla Quintet (Nicolás Guerschberg on piano, Pablo Mainetti on bandoneon, Armando de la Vega on electric guitar, Serdar Geldymuradov on violin and Daniel Falasca on double bass).

The night of 10, also the 20, "The Four Porteñas Stations of Piazzolla" will be visited by Camerata Bariloche, Horacio Lavandera and the special participation of Néstor Marconi.

While Thursday 11, from 20 “Piazzolla Plays Piazzolla Centenario” will sound from the Escalandrum jazz sextet and adding the special performances of Chango Spasiuk, Gustavo Bergalli, Raúl Lavié, Elena Roger and Jairo.

And the 12 to 20 the passage of "Astor Piazzolla in the Colón 1983" will be recreated with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires with the guest conductor Pedro Ignacio Calderón, the bandoneon soloist Daniel Binelli and the presence of Conjunto Nueve.

Saturday 13 to 20 the bandoneon and the guitar will come together in the respective hands of Daniel Binelli and César Angeleri and on Sunday 14 starting at 17 the “Didactic Concert-The style of Piazzolla from '46 will be offered” by Ignacio Varchausky and the Emilio Balcarce Tango School Orchestra.

Concerts with free admission organized jointly by the Colón, Sadaic and AADI will start on 16 to 20 bringing together the bandoneonists Julio Pane and Leandro Pane in the first part; to Walter Ríos (bandoneón) and Jesús Hidalgo (guitar and vocals) in the second; and Facundo Ramírez Cuarteto and Teresa Parodi in the third for a "Tribute to Ariel Ramírez and Astor Piazzolla".
