The Night of Ideas had its kickoff at the 25 of May
The fifth edition of La Noche de las Ideas -the cycle of talks, roundtables, performances and concerts- started online and in person at the Cultural Center 25 of May.
this meeting, which has the support of the Buenos Aires Culture area together with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Relations of France, the French Embassy in Argentina, el French Institute of Argentina, Medifé Foundation and the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), will run until 31 from January, with a schedule of 19 a 23.
During the opening, Enrique Avogadro was present, Minister of Culture of the City, who emphasized that from the area he leads "we have been carrying out work and tasks in conjunction with our peers in France for several years".
In that context, "2021 will not be the exception, in a few days we will be able to see the fruits of this work together. Cooperation between France and the Ministry of Culture is very important and, especially, in this context that we have to travel. As the motto of this event says, 'be near, being together ’is essential and we hope that this year that awaits us will find us working together and that more and more people will be able to access culture", he added.
In the same line, the ambassador of France in Argentina, S.E. Claudia dug-SCHERER, stated that "The Night of Ideas 2021, with its important motto 'Be close, being together 'is a new milestone in the long collaboration between all the teams of the Ministry of Culture of the City, the Institut Français d’Argentine and the French Embassy ".
The ambassador also highlighted the work “in emblematic cultural places such as the Colón Theater, the Buenos Aires Theater Complex and the Usina del Arte, as well as in the San Martín Cultural Center, the Recoleta and the 25 May ”and added: "It also manifests itself at festivals: Electronic November, FIDBA, BAFICI, FILBITA, Emerging City, the jazz, and the Tango. We have the strong will to sustain excellent cooperation between France and the City of Buenos Aires, in various relevant cultural projects ".
