The play “Potencia Gutiérrez” arrives at the Cervantes National Theater
Written and directed by Maruja Bustamante, The show “Potencia Gutiérrez” will premiere in the María Guerrero room of the Cervantes National Theater.
Starring Miranda de la Serna, Viviana Saccone, Hello Rodriguez Chietino, Emiliano Figueredo, Alfredo Staffolani, Bel Gatti and Agustín Rittano, The work will also feature an ensemble made up of Belén Pasqualin, Alessia Denmark, Potter, Antü Salary Linares, Gisela Salvo and Rosana MY Pintos (Ropsy).

“Potencia Gutiérrez” tells the shocking story of two sisters, each unique on its own path but united by a shared situation. Facing an unpunished and subjugated mother, These women seek refuge and liberation in art and the search for social advancement in the midst of a lively carnival in Corrientes.
The plot highlights the bravery of these sisters in the face of the oppression of some and the submission of others., immersing himself in the life of Potencia Gutiérrez, a talented cane player with dreams of establishing her own dance school. His sister, a passionate rapper with desires to change the world, complete the picture of this story.
Set in a demodé idiosyncrasy, where paternalism and intolerance are the norm, The protagonists face obstacles that threaten to undermine their goals.. The plot explores whether the prevailing idiosyncrasy will once again hinder their objectives or whether, instead, the seed of rebellion will remain intact.
With an outstanding choreography by Eugenia Roces and the artistic advice of Jorge Thefs, the creative team, which includes talents such as Verónica Alcoba in lighting design, Mariana Politi in footwear design and production, José Ocampo in sound design and musical composition, Gustavo Alderete in costume design, and Cecilia Zuvialde in set design, promises to immerse audiences in a unique theatrical experience that challenges norms and highlights the power of change.
