Mortal Kombat movie has its first official trailer
Mortal Kombat is a classic fighting game that at the time marked a before and after in the world of video games and that - to this day- continues to reap thousands and thousands of followers on high-end consoles.
For this reason, It was strange that the production companies did not give him a new opportunity after that attempt that occurred in the '90s and that had two deliveries (in one of them you could see Christopher Lambert himself playing Lord Raiden).
Now and amid the slow return of movie theaters during the pandemic, Warner Bros. presented the first official trailer of the new film inspired by the popular video game and that - finally- promises to reproduce the violence and brutality of his beloved characters.
In the trailer you can see the presence of some classic protagonists such as Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Jax, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero y Scorpion, among others. Although at the moment it is unknown how the plot of the film will be.
Directed by Simon McQuoid, The new production will have as a novelty the entry of an unpublished character, named Cole Young, who will also be the protagonist of the story (perhaps something similar to what was Shujinko in the game "Mortal Kombat: Deception”).
The release date will be 16 of April, moment when it will arrive not only in theaters but also on the HBO Max platform.
