The second edition of the Winter Fair returns to Mar del Plata

The Winter Publishing and Graphic Culture Fair that takes place in Mar del Plata will return for a second edition that will take place this weekend, with free admission.

The appointment will be in the Auditorium of the aforementioned spa city, located on Avenida Patricio Peralta Ramos 2280 and can be visited 14 a 21, without prior registration to take advantage of each of their workshops and talks.

winter gathers 100 small publishers, medians, handmade, industrial, independents and alternatives from all over the country, and different projects related to the fanzine, the binding, illustration and screen printing.

Regarding its content, there will be eleven talks on poetry, terror, about the artist born in Mar del Plata, Rosario Bléfari, soviet cinema, among other topics. As well, there will be a film screening, in dialogue with the film critic, teacher, researcher and collector Fernando Martín Peña, and on Sunday the musical closing will be in charge of Lucy Patané and the band Fin del Mundo.

The offer of activities of the meeting includes, among others, free creative writing workshops, production of zines, for children and youth, and reading and production, that will go from illustration to terror. Among those who will be in charge of the talks and workshops are the plastic artist Luis Felipe Noé, author and editor Marina Yuszczuk, the writer Juan Mattio, the poet, teacher and essayist Walter Lezcano and illustrators Flor Kaneshiro and Cecilia A. E. As well, the writer Alejandra Kamiya, el autor Jorge Chiesa, and archivist Carlos Muller, the poets Florence Codagnone and Julieta Novelli, the writer Diego Sztulwark and the bookseller Francisco Casadei, among others.

Saturday 17 – talks

14:30: the night mathematician

Fernando Martín Peña talks with Carlos Muller about Aelita: Queen of Mars and about her latest books.

Closing of the first day of the fair with readings by Flor Codagnone, Walter Lezcano, Juliet Novelli, Fabian Iriarte and Camila Pastorini Vaisman.

Saturday 17 – Workshops

14:30: something on your nightstand

Esdi and Belli invite you to take your thoughts out of the drawer, dust off your texts, mix them up and transform them into an illustrated fanzine.

15:00: The mountain, the bridge, the star. Image and sense

Cecilia A.E. proposes a workshop in which you will start from the word to arrive at the image printed manually with the stencil technique (stencil).

16:00: cool words. Reading and imagination as a game

From the reading of literary texts, will come the group exploration on how words can be turned into expressive objects and playful forms.

Sunday 18 – Workshops

16:00: Characters and Narrative

The illustrators Flor Kaneshiro and Julián Camezzana propose a workshop for children between 9 Y 12 years. From the collective game, they will invent a character for, then, make a four-frame cartoon called Yonkoma.

17:00: Terror and post-dictatorship (Enriquez, oyola, Schweblin)

This workshop proposes reading fictions gathered by the axis "post-dictatorship terror" thinking about how the historical event that marked our recent past found resonances in the field of fiction.
