Usina del Arte prepared a special program for Women's Day
As part of the celebration of the International Day of Women, Usina del Arte programmed a series of free activities that will carry on this weekend, with presentations, samples and concerts, among others.
First, Saturday 9 and between 15 Y 22 hours will will take place in the Central Hall of the venue located on Agustín Caffarena 1 the exhibition "Women's Month", a series of female silhouettes intervened by visual artists Jochi Camara, Cynthia Cohen, Nicholas Constantine, Feboasoma, Ana Gallart, Lucilla Gradin, Iara Kaumann Madelaire y Luciana Rondolini.
This exhibition will remain open until 19 March and can be seen from Tuesday to Thursday 14 a 19 or on fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays of 10 a 21.
The same Saturday will continue at 16 with two activities, the first will be the performance of Meliza Blanco, who will present ballads and pop songs in the central patio, while in the Microcine –also at 16- the talk "Women in the music industry" will be held, with the participation of Roxana Amed (singer, composer and educator), Ana Poluyan (management & booking), Fabiola Russo (recording engineer), Javiera Parra (singer) y Paz Court (singer), under the coordination of Corina González Tejedor.

In the Great Hall, between the 16 and the 21 there will be a artistic intervention workshop, a meeting designed for the whole family, who can participate by intervening female silhouettes with different materials, to make creations similar to those seen in the "Women's Month" exhibition.
Continuing with the workshops, also between the 16 Y 21, HE will do in the Central Hall "We today", a day with music, activities and gastronomy, in order to invite reflection and reassess the role of the woman in society.
In the Central Patio and at 17 the group "Mamita" will be presented Peyote", with a mix of rhythms ranging from rocksteady, reggae, soul swing, funk and cumbia to dance.
In the Creative Space, from 17, will be officially inaugurated the photographic exhibition "Warriors", by Eleonora Ghioldi.
This exhibition reflects the work born in 2011, moment in which the author shared with a group of friends stories of sexual violence, in order to provide a space for listening at a level staff.
After its inauguration, the exhibition can be seen Tuesday to Thursday from 14 a 19, and Friday, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a 21.
“Las Glitteras” are a group of makeup students artistic belonging to the Art in Neighborhoods program that will be from 17 until 21 in the Central Patio and the Central Hall inviting women to enjoy your day with glitter makeup and lots of bling.
The music will continue at 18 in the Central Courtyard, with the presentation of the "Percussion Caravan", by the students of the percussion school with signs, who will be together with women percussionists from CERPS.
Also at 18, but in the foyer of the enclosure, will be dictated an open cooking class, by Juliana López May, Pamela Villar and Mercedes Solis.
from 18.30, in the Central Courtyard will be "Barda", that will present soundscapes through his “beatmaiking” and organic electro (repeat at 20).
"La Colmena" will also be in the Patio from 19, with a Latin American popular music repertoire, with its own seal of voice and percussion.

Saturday will end with the "Concert for the Day Women's International", which will begin at 21 in the auditory, with the presence of Javiera Parra, Dakillah, Mary Granados, Valeria Gastaldi, Marian Dam, Rosario Bléfari, We do not, Noelia Moncada, Barbie Martinez and Sandra Baylac. They will be accompanied by Diana Arias (bass and musical direction), Laura Vazquez (piano), Katherine Ortega (drums), Martina Vior (guitar), Carolina Cohen (percussion) y Roxana Amed (artistic and vocal direction).
Activities planned for Sunday
Activities will begin on Sunday at 11.30 in the living room Of camera, with the presence of the string quartet “La rueda de la luna”, that will perform a classical repertoire, romantic and contemporary.
The group is made up of Mariana Caminoa (fiddle), Cecilia Garcia (fiddle), Javiera Gonzalez (viola) y Mariana Levitin (cello).
from 20, will be on the stage of the Javiera Auditorium Vine, Mary Colors, Sabina Odone and Paz Court, the Powerpuff Girls", who will make an international special: Chilean artists united by Violeta Vine, accompanied by the musician Cuti Aste.
