Usina del Arte presents its new samples of visual arts

This Friday 5 of April, the Usina del Arte will carry on the opening of two visual arts exhibitions, "Friends the future is our", belonging to the collective PintorAs and “A possible zodiac (work in building), by the artist Catalina León.

Regarding “Friends the future is ours”, it focuses on the collective formed by the artists Diana Aisenberg, Carla Bertone, Florence Bohtlingk, Claudia del Rio, Veronica di Toro, Silvia Gurfein, Gachi Hasper, María Ibañez Lago, Catherine Leon, Mariana López, Valeria Maculan, Ad Minoliti, Deborah Prudence, Inés Raiteri, Leila Tschopp y Paola Vega.

The sample covers 10 years of work -under the curatorship of Lara Marmor- and the union of sixteen women artists, whose work explores the limits and possibilities of painting as a device.

Within the framework of this exhibition, Saturday at 18 I know will also develop the activation "Total Painting: painting as an installation ” by Leila Tschopp who proposes to analyze the links between painting and installation through a visual and theoretical tour of cases in which it is established this relationship (from the avant-garde of the early twentieth century to the contemporaneity).

Meanwhile, the exhibition “A possible zodiac (work in building)”By the artist Catalina León proposes a pictorial journey to through astrology: an invitation to explore and participate in the construction of imaginary that express the potential of the signs. The artist presents a large installation consisting of 12 spaces, that throughout of time and with the participation of those who visit the work, they will be covering of paintings and embroidery alluding to the different signs of the zodiac.

Framed in “Rain, unpredictable astrology”, a participatory project that seeks to rethink imaginary through art traditional astrology and its practical use in everyday life, This new large format work arrives at the Salón Mayor.
