The Old Route is made up of Walter “Rana” René (voice and harmonica), Ariel Rogé (guitar), Hugo Borchert (low), Adrián Scollo (drums), Ariel Masini (keyboards), Martín Tojo and Pablo Cabrera (saxo) and Lucas Aranda (trumpet).

With his record debut in 1994, the group was gaining a place within the blues and local rock, to the point of being recognized by the international magazine Living Blues, thus being the only group in the country to achieve this recognition.

After a live album recorded on 2001, the band reached its third plate ("Fine Work"), with guests like Ricardo Tapia (La Mississippi), J.W. Jones (virtuoso guitarist from Canada) and guitarist Daniel Raffo.

"The Dragon" is the name of the fourth album, which again had Ricardo Tapia and Daniel Raffo as guests, doing backing vocals with Gady Pampillón, as well as Pity Alvarez singing a duet with Walter René in "Viene y va".

With a lot of concerts under his belt, the band had the pleasure of being the opening act for great international references of the genre such as John Primer, Eddie King, Bruce Ewan y Eddie C. Campbell.
