Formed by artists from Venezuela, Cuba, Catalonia, Panama and Argentina, Las Karamba presents “Camino Así”, their debut album.

The album, already in physical format and on digital platforms is a multicultural mix that creates a new musical color, special and powerful as a result of the imprint of its six members.

Formed in 2018 in the streets of Barcelona, this group evokes the need to acquire strength, free yourself from fears and spread joy, as a way of understanding music to vindicate the power of women.

Together they have grown stronger, joining rhythms and tunes, to compose a single melody that fuses rhythms of son, chachachá, salsa, timpa and rap. Enthusiastic melodies that explode with effusion with a powerful message of vindication and feminine sovereignty with which all the strength of past generations that championed the fight and feminist change is transmitted.

Since their union, and in just two years, The Karamba have managed to position themselves as one of the bands with the most international recognition of major festivals in Europe. His performance at the Eurosonic Noorderslag stands out (ESNS) 2020, the most important tour of music professionals in Europe that is carried out in Holland, and also at the Flawa Festival in London.

They have also made the Catalan public fall in love with the presence on posters of renowned festivals such as the Black Music Festival, Biorhythms, Clownia or the Esperanzah Festival, among many others.

The lyrics of their songs speak of the stories of all those women who were silent, that were in the shadow, who fought alone throughout history and could not explain. Now Las Karamba make these stories their own in their new album "Camino Así" (Guspira Records, 2021).

The album starts with "Presentes", an obvious declaration of intent. Through the musicalization of the homonymous poem by Guisela López, they highlight their values, its objectives and its principles to the rhythm of a rumba tune in collaboration with Erik Castillo, director of the Compota de Manana group.

One of the values that takes special importance is gender equality. The Karamba take us with a cha-cha to the life of "Margarita", a grandmother with a great thirst for freedom. In the song "No Sabe Nah" they take a more vindictive position, and with the singer Paula Grande, they acclaim together the power of women. With a Trap base, They surprise us with a change of register since they bet on electronic sounds that make a considerable difference compared to the rest of the songs.

The band is characterized by its perseverance that is reflected in “Voy Subiendo” with the collaboration of trumpeter Yuri Hernández and trombone Albert Costa.. No hurry, but without pause The Karamba work to draw their tailor-made path. A path where they leave behind everything that weighs on them and does not work. In "Turn the page" they take as an example a relationship destined to fail. With a sauce that rises in temperature with each beat, encourage you to look to the future with optimism and to overcome anything that hinders you. Finally, The Karamba are stripped in "Enough Ya" of all social pressure and the supposed dogmas stipulated to succeed in life.

They remember us in "El Beso", the first song they wrote as a band, to love each other with intensity and continue the journey to the "Sabana", a reflection on the frenetic pace of life we lead. In the hectic day to day, The Karamba invite you with their album "Camino Así" to relax, forget all the problems and see the world in your own way following your tempo.
