The play “The Hands of Eduviges at the Moment of Birth” will premiere this Saturday at the Teatro Nacional Cervantes, by the director Cristian Drut.

This text will be translated into Spanish for the first time at the express request of the Cervantes Theater. Regarding its plot, Wajdi Mouawad was born in Lebanon, in a Maronite Christian town, surrounded by Druze minorities.

The protagonist will settle with his family in the Canadian city of Quebec as a result of the war conflicts.

Author of works of international relevance, among them "Litoral", “Fires”, “all birds”, Mouawad looks through the dramaturgy and with a contemporary prism, the tremor that history -and more precisely its tragedies- record in a society, in their families and their individuals.

This show features performances by Horacio Acosta, Matilde Campilongo, Eddy Garcia, Vanessa Gonzalez, Aldana Illan and Sergio Mayorquin.

The functions will be from Thursday to Sunday from the 18 hours, with tickets that can be purchased at the ticket offices of the Libertad enclosure 815 or by the Alternative system. The play will be on billboard until 18 from December.
