Between 23 and the 28 August will take place the "Borges Festival", the first tribute of its kind dedicated to the figure of the great Argentine author.

Virtually and upon completion 122 years of the birth of one of the most important figures of the national culture, this festival will be held through the platform "Cultural Impulse".

With the support of the Patronage program of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, this proposal consists of talks, workshops and readings, in order to create a bridge between the author and the reader.

In that context, the Borges Festival seeks to honor the author -a key figure in Argentine and universal literature-, revisit his work and open doors for new audiences to discover, access and enjoy your texts.

Those who visit the platform will find the possibility of covering the different profiles of Borges, analyze the influence of their texts in the cinema, take a tour of the Buenos Aires that he created in his stories, examine your manuscripts, inquire into the presence of philosophical motives in the work, enhance your reading of universal classics, and discover the mechanisms with which Borges built his poetics, among others.

The Festival will have the participation of national figures, as: the writer, journalist and editor, Santiago Llach; the writer and essayist Martín Kohan; the author Pedro Mairal; the writer Sylvia Iparraguirre; the writer and translator Carlos Gamerro; the philosopher Darío Sztajnszrajber, and the writers and journalists Pablo Gianera and Patricio Zunini.

Confirmed international guests are: director, Venezuelan scriptwriter and editor, Luis Bond, and Borges' manuscript specialist, American Daniel Balderston.

further, there will be workshops on some texts in particular, as "Funes the memorable one", "Death and the compass", "Biography of Tadeo Isidoro Cruz", and "Theme of the traitor and the hero". They will be in charge of Pablo Gaiano and Marcos Liyo.
